Your Stress-Free Cake Smash Session

Many Niagara families want to celebrate their baby’s first birthday with a cake smash session.

These are so much fun to plan and capture. If you think planning your baby’s cake smash session will be a lot of work, I have good news for you. I’d love to share how my full-service photography process handles all the details of this special session for you.

Full-Service Cake Smash Photography 

Styling - During the planning stage, we’ll discuss your wishes for the session. Our lifestyle baby photography focuses on fewer props and accessories and more on your sweet baby and family. We’ll think about how you want to display these portraits after to guide us on the overall feel of your session.

Wardrobe - Before the session, you’ll come to the studio to choose outfits for your entire family. I have clothing pieces for Baby, Mom, Dad, and siblings. On the day of the session, you’ll arrive at the studio, where your clean outfits will be waiting for you! After the session, I’ll even handle the laundry too.

Hair and Makeup for Mom - On the day of the session, Mom is pampered with professional hair and makeup services sent to her home. We want Mom to feel confident and relaxed heading into this very special session. Your family will treasure these portraits for a very long time. 

The Cake - You don’t have to worry about the cake on your session day.  I’m a full-service photographer, mom of four, and a baker! Yes, I make each cask smash session cake in my home. It will be ready and waiting for you at the studio on the cutest little cake stand.

Session Set up - My team and I prepare the studio for your session. The studio provides any simple, neutral props and will be set up and waiting for your sweet family. You don’t have to worry about any cleaning or staging; we’ll handle it all. 

Clean up - Leave the cleanup to me as we’ll wash the clothing, the studio, and you’ll even wash your baby here. Yes, my cake smash sessions include the use of an adorable baby bath. These are some of my favourite images to capture for mom and dad.

Artwork - About a week after your session, you’ll return to the studio to choose your favourite images. We’ll collaborate to create artwork with those images, and I handle the rest from there.  Your artwork arrives in just 4-6 weeks after ordering. After I hang them on the walls for you, long after your session is over, you’ll have professionally printed artwork to treasure forever.
