7 reasons why you should book newborn photography ahead of time
In between the busyness and exhaustion, there are some absolutely precious moments with your newborn that you want to capture.
Life with little ones is always busy and full. From pregnancy, to the newborn stage, to Baby’s first birthday, the to-do list can feel never-ending. But it’s so important to reach out early to reserve a date for your newborn photo session.
Why book your newborn session in advance?
1. It ensures a spot in my schedule
I limit myself to 2 sessions weekly so I can take the very best care of my clients. It’s best to reach out to me as early as possible to reserve your due date! Most moms reserve their spot before they do a public pregnancy announcement. When you wait to book, you risk losing the opportunity to do a session with me as I become more booked up.
Of course, Baby’s arrival can be unpredictable, so we build in some flexibility around the due date. I recommend you reach out to me again as soon as you can after your little one arrives. Then we’ll confirm your session for when they are 7-14 days old.
2. Checks it off the list before baby arrives
Becoming pregnant adds a lot of new responsibilities and decisions to your plate. The to-do list is growing: find a birth team, shop for strollers, decorate the nursery, oh and book the newborn photography session!
In the overwhelm of preparations, booking your session early allows you to check an important item off the list and put all the planning in my hands.
3. It removes the stress
Once Baby arrives, the big milestones can sometimes pass by uncelebrated during the every-day chaos. The last thing you need to worry about is capturing those moments before they’re gone. Booking your session in advance helps relieve that stress and reassure you that your memories are preserved.
4. Time moves fast with a baby
Your little one will never be this small again. Too many moms wait until the "perfect time" for photos and end up missing out, because their kids have changed so fast. They never had a chance to be photographed WITH their kids at this stage.
It’s easier than you would think to capture those moments before they’re gone. All you need to do is book in your session at Reflections, and everything is taken care of for you.
5. There are no surprises
After you book the session with me, all of the planning is done for you so that there aren’t any surprises on the day of your session! We’ll have lots of time to organize the details so I can create your perfect session. You’ll visit the studio for an introduction and a tour, and I’ll share how the session will unfold. You’ll know exactly what to expect and look forward to returning with your little one in just a few more months!
6. Styling is taken care of
Your session at Reflections includes curated outfits for the whole family, and professional hair & makeup for Mama. Those are just two more things I can take off your plate so you can be relaxed and pampered!
The sooner you reserve your date, the more time we have to secure your hair and makeup artist. Our artists travel to your home the morning of your session, so you’re taken care of before you even leave the house.
