When I'm not running my photography business, I'm caring for my children, plants, or animals, a cup of tea in hand.

Balancing between being a photographer and a parent is no easy task. It does make this journey even more fun though. Although it always feels like a balancing act, they complement each other in a beautiful way.

I truly believe that it's made me a better photographer. Being a parent myself helps me feel what it’s like to be in your shoes.

It's taught me to slow down. It’s taught me to help you feel welcome and understood as a mother. And it’s taught me that the most important thing we can capture in your photos is that story, so you can remember it. Because our days are BUSY.

It's made my love for photography that much stronger. Now I know the importance of the story we’re telling.

About This Beautiful Family

This is Tara & Mike, Conner & Carter. They wanted to capture their boy’s natural smiles. They loved our last family photoshoot where their personalities shone through. This was our third session together, so I couldn’t wait to see how much the boys had grown. The photo session was really fun and ended with the most beautiful orange sunset.

I’m sure they’ll always remember how loved they are every time they walk into their living room. We created a gorgeous wall display - scroll down to the bottom of this post for a peek.

From the moment of setting up the appointment through the day of the photo shoot, Karen has everything so well planned to help you through the process at all stages. Her ability to connect with each family member and bring out their own individual personality is perfection! Karen's attention to detail makes the whole experience flawless!” - Tara McCarthy

Hi there, I'm Karen! I am obsessed with newborn baby yawns, giggling kids, and jumpsuits. I'm a mama of four who understands the busyness of everyday life. I know what it’s like to look back on my children’s first years and feel like they flew by so quickly. I don’t want any other mamas to forget what their baby’s little fingers and toes looked like all curled up. My hope is that I can help you create albums and prints to serve as physical reminders of these sweet times throughout your baby’s early years. Contact me for info.
