Did You Know Photographs Are Powerful Love Letters?

Sometimes I like to look through old photographs. And not digital ones, but physical ones. Ones that I can hold in my hand running my thumb over memories and faces. Where I can feel torn corners and flip it over to read notes in cursive writing of names and places and ages.

It’s almost like I am reading love letters from the years that have passed. Like sand that slips through my fingers when I try and hold onto it. Boxes of photographs become like treasures chests filled to the overflow of letters. Letters that show just how loved we are, and how loved we were.

And that question jumps out, standing before your heart, “Do you know how much you are loved?”

The photographs you take now are like love letters. Love letters to yourself in the future. Love letters to your children. Love letters even back to God of all that you’re thankful for.

Take a look at the pictures you have. What do you see? Take time to have pictures taken. What will you say?

Take space to write letters through photographs. And if you need some help with that - I’m here for you. Reach out and book your session today.

About This Sweet Family

This is Dawn and Brandon with their sweet newborn baby girl, Harper.

They wanted simple, classic images of their little family. We captured so much variety, personality, and sweetness! So many love letters here for them to look back and on and cherish.

Want to shop the studio wardrobe?

Hi there, I'm Karen! I am obsessed with newborn baby yawns, giggling kids, and fancy flavoured tea. I'm a mama of four who understands the busyness of everyday life and I've learned how to embrace and enjoy the beauty of it through lifestyle photography. I know what it’s like to look back on my children’s first years and feel like they flew by so quickly. I don’t want any other mamas to forget what their baby’s little fingers and toes looked like all curled up. My hope is that I can help you create albums and prints to serve as physical reminders of these sweet times throughout your baby’s early years. Contact me for info.
