Hey there! Welcome to our blog, your cozy corner where we dive into all things family, newborn, maternity, and baby photography. Being an experienced professional photographer in Ontario, I share practical tips, insights, and plenty of inspiration tailored for expecting mothers, new moms, and parents of Niagara Falls, Grimsby, and nearby areas. But wait, there’s more! My blog is not just about photography – it’s all about building a supportive community for new moms and parents, offering resources, encouragement, and a whole lot of virtual hugs. So grab a cup of tea, get comfy, and join us on this beautiful journey of family and community.
In Daddy's Arms
There is nothing that makes a newborn baby look smaller than being cradled in her daddy's arms. In daddy's arms, she is protected and safe. Darling Hannah recently came to the Reflections of Life studio for her newborn session. Her parents, Leslie and Jeff, are so ecstatic to have her in their arms…
Mama and Me
If you are a mama, you understand. You understand the pure, fierce, undying love for your children. If you are not yet a mother, I promise you this, the moment you hold your precious baby in your arms for the first time, you will understand. One of my greatest joys as a photographer is capturing the love between a mama and her babies.
Squeeze
Squeeze. We squeeze our ways through life constantly. Squeezing in last minute appointments, squeezing through a closing elevator door, squeezing the ones you love. The squeeze of a hand is a silent "I love you" to the one who's hand is in yours. The squeeze of a shoulder tells the person, "I am right here by your side." The squeeze of an embrace brings instant comfort.
In Your Daughter's Eyes
As mothers, we need to put aside our own insecurities. We need to be confident in ourselves and let ourselves feel as beautiful as we are to our babies. We need to get in more pictures so we can preserve more memories for our little ones to look back on.
Sands of Time
Like a never ending hour glass, life is constantly moving. Each moment building onto the next, creating the memories of our lives. At times, life seems to move so fast. School, work, schedules filled with so many things that it can be hard to keep track of it all.
Looking Up
When you have a big brother, you spend a lot of time looking up. After all, for a long time he towers over your. Especially when he is five years older than you. But even at 1 year of age, Weston already looks up to his brother Anderson far beyond the literal sense.
The Best Medicine
There are a lot of different ideas of what things are the best medicine. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." "Laughter is the best medicine." Water, sleep, wholesome foods. All are strong contenders in the race for the "best" medicine. Of course, it depends a lot on what you are trying to treat. But I think that the best medicine for a happy, full life is love. And a lot of it.
The Laughter that Binds Us
The family who laughs together, loves together. With laughter comes love and with love comes laughter. I want to capture your family full of laughter and love. Real moments and connections are what I want you to see when you look back at your images over the years.
Firsts
Your baby's first year is filled with firsts. The firsts of every holiday. The first smile, first rollover, first crawl, first foods, first steps. Each milestone reached fills your heart with pride, joy and a little sadness. For with every passing milestone, your baby is a little closer to growing up.
The Art of Love
There are many kinds of love. The love between husband and wife, mother and son, father and son, brothers. The love between a family when they are together as one. Each love is beautiful and special in its own way. The different dynamics and relationships in a family are what makes it yours.
