You Are A Dream Come True
When I officially found out you were a boy, I already knew. I could tell by the way you moved in my belly just so, sometimes it was almost like you just jumped.
In a way I cannot explain, it was like I already knew you. Like I had met you before, maybe in my dreams, maybe in heaven. Like I had already held you, already hugged you, already danced with you, already laughed with you.
It was just like we were meeting again. Flesh to flesh. Heart to heart.
We waited for you, little one, and you were worth the wait. There were days when I wasn’t sure if you’d come or how long it would take and those days especially carried such a sting in my heart. But this moment, this moment made every day worth it. Holding you in my arms, your beating heart pressed up against my very own, I am reminded of what a gift you are. You are treasure wrapped in flesh and soul. You are a dream come true.
And you make us so happy.
About This Newborn Session
This is Claire. She came to me for a few beautifully and professionally shot framed photos of her newborn son, Jacob. He’s her pride and joy, her first child and the first grandchild in their family.
Claire was worried about little Jacob needing to cluster feed and being fussy during his session. However, he was precious and perfect, fed and happy! I’m especially in love with the images of him and Claire, so beautiful.

Hi there, I'm Karen Byker from Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. I'm obsessed with newborn baby yawns, laughing kids fancy flavoured tea.
I'm a mother of four that understands the chaos of the every day, but I've learned how to embrace and enjoy the beauty of it. I believe we should be able to enjoy this life we chose.
I've been a professional photographer since 2005. I've helped hundreds of mothers to slow down, pause and use photography as a reminder to take a breath.
I'd love to talk with you about documenting the beauty through your chaos. Let's chat!
