Why It's Important To Book Your Shoot Early

Today I received a call from a lovely mama of a 7 day old little one.  She just had her baby last week and I’m unable to accommodate her session here in the studio. It’s so sad when this happens.

Whether I can fit a newborn in on short notice is different every day. Sometimes babies arrive early and sometimes late. I encourage you to reserve your session early to avoid disappointment. Here are a few reasons why:

  1. It gives you time to choose the photographer that’s genuinely right for you

  2. It removes the stress of having to find another photographer if I’m unavailable

  3. You can visit the studio before your baby arrives. This gives us a chance to plan out the session and see the products available

  4. You can spread the session fee into two payments. Part now and part after your session makes it a little easier for you

  5. It takes the stress away, because you know when he or she arrives, I’ll be ready

This is such an incredible time in your life and in the life of your newborn. Their first few weeks on the planet are precious and so very important. It is a gift to have that captured, treasured and remembered. As you are expecting the arrival of your little one, make it a priority to book early. It’ll be a fresh breath of relief knowing that it is all going to come together so well.

I can’t wait to speak with you and make our visions a reality. Let's begin documenting the life of your newborn before he or she even arrives into this world.

Welcome to Reflections of Life.  I’m so glad you’re here.

Hey mama, I'm Karen Byker. I grew up in Ontario, Canada. I live in my hometown of Grimsby and I am obsessed with everything to do with kids and fancy flavoured tea. Which I usually end up drinking cold because, hey, I’m a busy mama too.

I am a mother of four that understands the overwhelm of every day. I've learned through the years how to embrace and enjoy the beauty of it. I believe it’s possible to enjoy this busy life we chose.

I have helped hundreds of mamas to slow down, pause and use photography as a way to capture those special moments. Let's chat about documenting the beauty through your chaos.
