To Be Loved Is To Be Free
To be loved is to be free. Remember when you were a child and you felt so very free? Where you thought that if you jumped off the table, you could soar? And if you walked into a room, you were authentically yourself, without a care in the world. You were completely confident that you were loved. Let’s get back to that place today.
For years, I've been avoiding using props in my pictures, except for bubbles and toys. But I am also always talking about finding the beautiful moment in the chaos of daily mom life. Having your children feel free and comfortable is a big part of finding that calm in the chaos. Creating an environment that is fun and where they can be themselves is key.
When my kids were little there was nothing better than evening bath time. When everyone was busy being happy and playing. When there was so much love, laughter, and sweetness.
So I wanted to bring a little bit of that into the studio.
Now there are so many different sensory options to keep them busy. I use wooden toys, board books, and bubbles. I make a delicious and squishy birthday cake and we have water play in the baby bathtub. It's clear babies have a wonderful time, simply being themselves.
I've created a room full of activities that allow your child to feel free. An environment that encourages you to show them how much you love them. So come and join me for a baby session with your little one. xo

Hey mama, I'm Karen Byker. I grew up in Ontario, Canada. I live in my hometown of Grimsby and I'm obsessed with your newborns, giggling kids and fancy flavoured tea, which I usually end up drinking cold because, hey, I’m a busy mama too.
I am a mother of four that understands the overwhelm of every day, but I've learned how to embrace and enjoy the beauty of it. I believe it’s possible to enjoy this busy life we chose.
I have helped hundreds of mamas to slow down, pause and use photography as a reminder to take a breath. Let's chat about documenting the beauty through your chaos.
