Lifting the Invisible Load of Planning a Niagara Family Photo Session
As moms, we work so hard to ensure our family has everything they need.
We make dinner every night, pay the bills, plan celebrations, and take care of every moment in between. You work so hard to care for your family, so let me take care of you with full-service family photography.
A big question moms ask during their Niagara photography consult call is, “How much work is this going to take?” She’s worried about how much work putting together a family photography session will add to her already massive to-do list. My process lifts the invisible workload from mom’s shoulders so that she can actually enjoy taking family photos.
Mama, I see you. I see all the things you do for your family that may or may not be noticed. My full-service family photography session takes care of everything for you. I want you to be able to show up and enjoy the experience and create artwork that you’ll cherish forever.
Here is a list of eight things a full-service family photography session takes off your plate.
8 Ways Full-Service Family Photography Session Helps Mom
1. Coordinating the Date - Moms are the calendar keepers of the family. You know and maintain everyone’s schedules and maintain the family’s master calendar. Of course, I’ll need your help to select the session date, but after that, I’m guiding you through the process of preparing for your session and checking in with you to ensure you have everything you need.
2. Choosing a Location - Choosing the perfect, photogenic location is tricky. If you want a session outdoors, you’ll need to find a place that’s beautiful, accessible, and consider what will happen if it rains. My clients can choose from my light and airy studio, or my outdoor tree tunnel and road location. Both are in Grimsby, Ontario.
3. Finding Outfits - Planning everyone’s outfit is stressful. Mom has to find outfit pieces that fit and effortlessly coordinate. This could take hours of planning and shopping, not to mention if you need to make any returns. My full-service photography clients simply stop by the studio to “shop” my client wardrobe. On the day of your session, your outfits are clean and ready for you.
4. Getting Ready - These portraits will hang on your wall for many years to come, so you want to feel confident in your look. Full-service photography eliminates this stress by including hair and makeup for mom. Not only will it allow you to relax and enjoy the moment, but your photo-ready look will leave you feeling gorgeous.
5. Getting Everyone to the Session - As moms, we’ve all been there - scrambling to get everyone out the door on time. It’s an experience that feels like herding cats. The thing is, you just need to get here. Your job is done once you and your family step into the studio. My team and I will take care of everything to create a seamless and pleasant photography session experience for your family. You get to just soak in the moment.
6. Choosing Images - The most important part of this process is creating the artwork that will be lovingly displayed in your home. However, this is a massive project that can take hours of work. A week after the session, we’ll meet at my studio for your image reveal. My clients know that I’m here to guide them through this entire process to ensure it gets completed.
7. Creating Artwork - One week after the session, you’ll return to the studio for your image reveal, where we’ll look at every single one of the images from your session. You’ll choose your favourites so that we begin designing your custom artwork. After this appointment, you’re just a few weeks away from treasured artwork on the walls.
8. Installing Artwork - Finally, installing your precious artwork is taken off your list and added to mine. After your artwork is delivered to the studio, I make sure it’s perfect, then arrange to deliver and install it for you.
