Behind the Scenes

I am so excited to give you an inside glimpse of a Reflections of Life maternity session. I am taking you behind the scenes into my studio! The studio is where maternity, newborn and baby sessions take place. I have set out to create a bright and relaxing space where you are instantly put at ease. Where the light pours over you with beauty and warmth.

My studio lends itself to creating organic, natural portraits that highlight the love and emotions that you are feeling. Every detail was carefully thought out to ensure that it fit my style. From the rustic, hand painted head board on the movable bed to the delicate lace in my maternity wardrobe to the airy sheer drapery to the just-the-right-height chair rail.

Laura came to Reflections of Life's studio for an heirloom maternity session. She wanted to create something beautiful for her unborn baby. Something that captured the beauty and excitement of her pregnancy. What a beautiful gift to give your unborn child, for he or she to someday be able to see and feel how much they were loved before they were even born.

Laura is enjoying her time pregnant. She loves her changing body, and it shows. My goal during Laura's session was to highlight two features she loved about herself at that moment in time - her baby bump and her freckles. My hope with this behind the scene look into a session is that you not only get to see my studio but that you get to feel how a session with Reflections of Life Photography feels.
