Looking For The Perfect Fit

What's the number one thing you look for when you're searching for the perfect newborn photographer? Is it price, style, or location? If you've been looking for a professional photographer, you've probably realized that it can be a little overwhelming at times. I'm here to help you in your search with my 5 best tips on finding the perfect newborn photographer for your family.

Style - View their portfolio to ensure they have a photographic style you love.

Personality - Follow them on Instagram. Do they seem like a person you’d like to work with?

Services - No doubt about it - you’re going to be exhausted after you have your baby. Look for a photographer that offers the services you need like wardrobe, hair & makeup, makes the session fun for kids, and helps you print your photos after so they’re not just taking up space on your hard drive.

Price - Most of the time, you get what you pay for. If your newborn photographer isn’t charging enough, there’s usually a reason why. Do your homework before your baby arrives.

Professionalism - Once you decide to reach out to a photographer you love, do they reply quickly? Are they organized? If not, you may end up waiting for your photos afterward, and no one wants that!

I hope these little tips help you with your search. If you'd love to talk more about hiring me as your newborn photographer, contact me. We can schedule a call to chat about your wants and wishes within the next few days. Let’s see if we'd be a great fit.

About This Beautiful Family

This is Jennifer, Zachary, Hayden, Oliver, and their new baby girl Amelia. They really wanted images in a natural atmosphere so everyone could show their true personalities. The studio was perfect because there is no stuff backdrops or strobe lights. Just a large, clean, white room with neutral furniture.

They wanted to capture all the little details of their first baby girl, her tiny hands, lips, and feet. Jennifer brought a gorgeous headband by the locally owned Sweet Nest Boutique for Emelia to wear.

The boys had a great time holding and adoring their sister but also played with wooden blocks and cars. There was plenty of quality time and sweetness to create these treasured photographs.

Jennifer and Zachary chose to make their house feel more like a home with a beautiful wall gallery of framed portraits and an album from this session. You’ll find photos of their finished artwork below.

Hi there, I'm Karen! I am obsessed with newborn baby yawns, giggling kids, and jumpsuits. I'm a mama of four who understands the busyness of everyday life. I've learned to love and enjoy it through lifestyle photography. I know what it’s like to look back on my children’s first years and feel like they flew by so quickly. I don’t want any other mamas to forget what their baby’s little fingers and toes looked like all curled up. My hope is that I can help you create albums and prints to serve as physical reminders of these sweet times throughout your baby’s early years. Contact me for info.
