Three Ways to Make Your Schedule Work For You.

Does it ever feel like there is so much to do and yet so little time? Maybe you forget about things if you don't write them in your calendar right away. Maybe you feel exhausted by the end of the day because it was packed and you still don't feel like you made a dent in your to-do list. Maybe you just feel like your schedule has no rhyme or reason to it and it feels chaotic like you're on the edge of your seat. Or maybe you just need to figure out how to make your schedule work for you just a little more. Don't worry because I want to share with you three ways you can do that.

Wherever you are, be all there.

When you show up for a commitment, when you have time with your family, when you're at work; wherever you are, be all there. Be there one hundred percent. We know just how easy it can be to be somewhere without actually being there. Our minds or emotions could be a hundred different places. But you deserve the experience of being fully where you are and the people around you deserve that experience too.

Remind yourself that you don't have to do everything.

You don't. You simply don't have to do everything. You don't have to take every opportunity that comes your way. You don't have to say yes to every request or every favour. You don't have to feel guilted into all the things that you think you should be doing. But, you get to choose. You get to choose to do the things that matter the most to you. So, remind yourself that you don't have to do everything. Not now, not ever.

Use tools like a planner or tools to cut down the time it takes to do something.

There are so many tools you can use like an incredible paper planner or your online calendar. Use things that help to really cut down time or even energy. Things like preparing meals in advance or taking advantage of the slow cooker, decide what you're going to wear the night before, get a haircut that doesn't take a lot of maintenance, hire people to do the tasks you simply don't have the desire or time for, etc. You can also batch tasks, so instead of doing them all at once, batching them once a week. For example, cleaning. Instead of doing huge cleans once a week, do small batches every single day.

Your schedule doesn't have to own you. Instead, it can work for you. xo
